Recipe

First of all, we will start preparing the date filling. So, First clean the dates with taking off seeds from it. Then cut it in to small peace and put it in to pan then on the flame. Also, add 1/2 cup of water and sugar, mix it will. Make sure the dates are ripe ones because it tastes better. Now cook the mixture well until it looks like a paste. Finally, off the flame and some vanilla on it also for crunchier we can add some cashew nuts. Mainly add the cashew nuts after flame is of because it would be crispy, and it will taste good.

Next, we could start making the dough for the date bar. First add the butter to a bowl and mix it with an electric beater (or other equipment) well. After finishing it add the sugar to the mixture also powdered sugar would be great to add. Then add the eggs and mix a little until it mixes with mixture. If you don't like to add eggs you may add 250g of butter instead of 200g. After that add vanilla. So, now we may add the dry ingredients in to the mixture. Flour, milk powder and baking powder mix them in to one and them into the mixture. First mix them using a spatula and then use the hands to mix the dough. They won't be sticky to the hands, and it would be very softer.

Next divide the dough in to two and make ready the tray by applying butter on it. And then put one of the doughs into the tray and spread it to the whole tray. Now apply the date filling on it. Next put the other dough on the date filling. Be careful when you set the other on the date filling, before you do this watch the video ones. Finally add the egg and milk together and brush it on the dough. Now put it in to the oven by setting in to 180(degree) c with 10 minutes preheated and bake for 40 minutes.
